You really won't believe them till you see them! They look out of this world Sci-fi good, sound even better, and eliminate a lot of questionable matches by including the crossovers, filters, amps and cables. Bring your own high quality signal! All designed and tailored with very high quality components specifically to work together for this application. Excelent ingredients, extensive testing and development, and meticulous fabrication combine to make quite an outstanding product! But who are we kidding, that goes into our standard stuff. What makes these so special? Well, even it's more than the sum of it's parts, we put a lot more into them through over a year and a half of design and testing. These are serious units, tested to perform exceptionally, and look the business while doing it. These are made with passion by engineers.

Designed to reproduce sound very acurately and to look stunning and unique.

High quality and acurate playback from any good line level source, achieved with a low in count, but very high quality components. Active crossovers, biamping, extensive R&D and a short signal path get results.

All of our comprehensive and demading criterea were met in over two years of design and testing.

here's a preview of the highlights, some specs may change slightly with production pieces, but each pair comes with actual test printouts and will be calibrated for these specs:

+- 3db Flat from 45hz to 20Khz on axis. +-5db flat from 45hz to 17Khz 45 degrees off axis with excelent phase coherence!

While these don't sound like truly amazing specs, these are honest numbers with no hype. And while they will be exceeded by every speaker that leaves with our aproval, there's more to great sound than good numbers. Off axis measurements like this are hard to achieve and these speakers are excelent speakers for the whole room, not jsut a small sweet spot.

Biamped

2x 40w RMS buffered, hand made and tested point to point wired amps. Very similar to the original groundbreaking, audiophile shocking 47labs Gaincard, but each speaker having one! With two channels per speaker unit. One of the Gaincard's best features is an extremely short signal path and very low component count.We have kept a very short singal path, shortened much more overall by the inclusion of the crossover and amp in one device.

Throughout the engineering, we kept a philospohy of simplicity. Each amplifier has 7 exacting external components per pair of channels. This very low component count lets us use only the highest quality components throughout the entire set of electronics. The high quality components that are used exclusively in these amplifiers are then hand matched and point to point assembled with care and meticulous atention to detail. Each biamped unit is solidly mounted in a self-contained CNC milled aluminum and carbon chassis with a 120VA toroidal transformer, amplifier and filter/buffer board. Several proper EMI and AC shielding methods are employed for a very low noise floor (actual measurements are provided with each speaker set)

Active crossover and EQ

24db/octave Linkwitz-Riley ~1350hz highpass for tweeter.
12db/octave Linkwitz-Riley ~1350hz lowpass for woofer.
Steep slopes clearly define the roles of each driver and allow exploitation of the better directivity of the small tweeter and point source in the important vocal range. This carefully selected low crossover circuit lets the speaker act as a point source throughout the entire vocal range and this lends itself to excelent off-axis response. A buffer stage for constant impedance to amplifier and driving unit, means more acurate sound reproduction.
Phase corect, +- 8 degrees of phase offset throughout the entire operating range. The filters and crossovers were developed and tailored SPECIFICALLY for this amp/speaker/cabinet combination so you can get acurate sound by just plugging them into anything with a flat output response, no EQ nescesarry, However, feel free to tailor the sound to your tastes with your own equalisation. Everyone has different tastes. The filters work with the cabinet to extend bass without adding phase change with a port, which would have been an easy way to both lower bass(~38hz) and a significant phase incoherence(up to 180deg)

Sculpted Carbon Fiber Cabinet

The beautifully sculpted sealed carbon epoxy cabinet is not vulnerable to changes in temperature or humidity, is not penetrated by water or most chemicals, or it's structure vulnerable to degradation by corrosion or sunlight. And unlike any wood or extrusion based speaker, is extremely light weight for it's strength, the changing curvature, very thin wall design has a higher, more easily damped resonant frequency than the pervasive resonances present throughout the popular MDF construction. The non-vented design gives up a little bass extension in favor of more acurate, phase coherent bass. The tweeter has been moved back for acoustical centers of the drivers to be in the same plane when on-axis for acurate reproduction in the crossover region.

High quality Interconnects included!

We couldn't have you just plugging in with any old cables, and didn't want you to spend an arm and a leg extra on some snazzy marketing, so we include them! Cables are high quality Belden with very high quality Canare and Neutrik connections. Available with purchase is either set in 1m, 3m or 6m. Individual sets and custom lengths and cable ends are also available seperately or per special orders.
